The dictionary definition of ‘lazy’ ‘laziness’
Unwilling to work or use energy.
My take/view point on ‘lazy’…
To be ‘lazy’ is not to get up late, or even to do nothing all day. ‘Laziness’ in my opinion, is not doing what needs/has to be done.
I feel that to be ‘lazy’ is a curse and is utterly destructive, and unfair to others around you or who live with you., because basically you are leaving them to do everything, either because you consider yourself above them, or they are not that important to you, for you to consider their feelings. That is not to say that it is the person in questions fault entirely.
We all have our faults/characteristics. What is at fault is a failure to recognize or accept this ‘characteristic’ and then refuse/fail to try to do something about it, because this is truly what undermines those around you, or who live with you.
Sometimes it may be necessary to leave a task/job for the ‘lazy’ ones, in manner of protest. But beware it does not go too far, for if your protest fails to work and nothing gets done, then you are in danger of becoming as bad, if not worse than the ‘lazy’, making yourself miserable in the process. Or causing additional conflict.
So to all the non/un ‘lazy’ people I say “you make your choices, and if you need to be a martyr/victim for your level of standards or beliefs, then I guess you will have to live with it.
This post’s quote :
The world is full of willing people, those willing to work, and those willing to let them.
